This course helps students enhance their harmonizing and vocal music abilities with performances for chapel and church services. Performances expected.

Music Appreciation 

Grade Level: 9th-10th

Prerequisites: None

Credit: 1/2 credit, one semester

This course is designed to fulfill, in part, the fine arts requirement for the freshman year. Basic music theory, some music history, and musical listening skills will be learned by students enrolled in the course. This course offers a musical experience primarily for beginners.

Joyful Noise

Grade Level: 10th-12th

Prerequisites: Audition 

Credit: 1/2 credit, one semester

This course combines dance moves and choreography with vocal abilities. Travel to and participation in public performance are required. This course may be repeated for credit.

Concert Band

Grade Level: 9th-12th

Prerequisites: None

Credit: 1/2 credit, one semester

This elective course is designed to prepare students with instrumental skills for group performances. A variety of music will be chosen from classical to modern, both sacred and secular. Participation in performance will be required. Performance skills will also be evaluated in an attempt to assist in the instrumentalist in becoming more proficient. This course may be repeated for credit.

Piano Lab

Grade Level: 9th-12th

Prerequisites: None

Credit: 1/2 credit, one semester

This course is designed to give students the basic knowledge in how to play the piano. Students use a guide and help from the instructor to improve their piano skills.
