Philip McFadden was born in Jacksonville, IL and grew up in the country on a family farm, where he learned to walk beans and buck hay bales. He first attended Lake Land college in Mattoon where he received a certificate in service electronics in 1979. He later attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL and received his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology while specializing in graphic arts. In 2004, Philip attended Robert Morris college and received an Associate of Art and Science degree in computer networking.
Phillip's facility maintenance experience consists of Phillips Brothers Printers in Springfield for 10 1/2 years, at Eaton cutler Hammer in Lincoln, and at Honeywell Hobbs. Philip also worked 11 1/2 years at Richardson Manufacturing doing maintenance and lead man for 5-S janitorial and special projects.
Lutheran High School has benefitted greatly by having someone with Philip's experience on staff. He has worked at Lutheran High School since 2010.
Phillip is married to Carol Jurgens McFadden who grew up in Pleasant Plains. He has one son Jacob who is now living in Portland, OR. Philip's favorite Bible verse is also his confirmation verse, Psalms 55:22, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord and he shall sustain you even the righteous to be stayed.”
