Mrs. Quigg is originally from Gowrie, Iowa. In 1981, she received a Bachelor’s degree in education and Lutheran teacher diploma from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, NE. Her first teaching assignment was actually here in Springfield at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. During this time she also served as the church and school music director. In 1982 she relocated north to Park Ridge, IL to teach and direct school music. In 1985 she returned to downstate to Quincy to teach at St. James Lutheran Church and School. From 1989-1995 and 1997-2007, Mrs. Quigg taught and directed church and school music at Salem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville.

In 2007, Mrs. Quigg started at Lutheran High School and she currently teaches english classes. She is also serves as the National Honor Society adviser, Speech Team Coach, grade school Spelling Bee Coordinator, and Poetry Out Loud Coordinator. She is a member of the Lutheran Education Association (LEA) and National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).

Mrs. Quigg is married to her husband Don and they have a daughter, Naomi, who is an alum of Lutheran High, Class of 2013. Mrs. Quigg’s favorite Bible verses are: “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord" Joshua 24:15b and Revelation 2:10 "Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life."
