WELCOME to Lutheran High School’s Summer Camp for Kids. The camp is for children who have completed grades K-8 and is designed to be an opportunity for education and enrichment in a Christian atmosphere as well as a fun way to spend summer days.

WEEKLY sessions begin Monday, June 6, and run through Friday, July 29, 2022. Camp hours are from 8am-5pm. Campers may be dropped off as early as 7:30 am and picked up as late as 5:30 pm. There is a late fee of $5 per child for every fifteen minutes after 5:30 pm.

STAFF to camper ratio is approximately 1 to 7. Maximum enrollment is 175 campers per week.

LUTHERAN High’s Summer Camp for Kids admits campers of any race, creed, color, sex, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities of the camp. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, national or ethnic origin in administering its camp policies.

CAMP classrooms and lunchrooms are air-conditioned and will be cool and comfortable on hot, humid days. The gymnasium and lunchroom allow for indoor activities during inclement weather.  Lutheran High School is a Christian organization and has prayers as a group before meals.

Summer Camp Fees

Ending Grades K - 2

$170 per week

Ending Grades 3-6

$170 per week 

Ending Grades 7-8

$175 per week**

The fee includes admission for field trips, travel, camp T-shirt, and snacks. Campers bring their own sack lunch. Enrollment is only on a full-week basis.

**Voyager weekly campers (7-8) participate in the once a week. Voyager long trip without extra charge. This is included in the weekly fee.

Campers Who Have Finished
Grades K-2
$170 per week

Your child, who has completed grades K-2, will be greeted each morning by friendly, caring staff. These young campers will appreciate the relaxed schedule provided at Lutheran High’s Summer Camp.

The staff will provide enriching educational experiences and fun physical activities, such as swimming, bowling, skating, putt putt, and kickball. Their days will be filled with games, movies, crafts and free play. Campers will also enjoy field trips which include Splash City Water Park in Collinsville, Ergadoozy Play Center, Henson Robinson Zoo, Sangamon County Fair and Discovery Museum in Normal.


Campers Who Have Finished
Grades 3-6
$170 per week 

A super summer is in store for your child who has completed grades 3-6.  Each day at Summer Camp for Kids is filled with an assortment of physical activities such as swimming, skating, soccer, bowling, volleyball, basketball, putt putt, broomball, kickball, and driving range.

Your camper will explore “hands-on” creative arts, and crafts. Numerous field trips are planned which include Splash City Water Park in Collinsville, Fairview Water Park in Bloomington, Sangamon County Fair, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and AMC Movie Theaters.

These campers and their counselors will participate in a community service project during the summer.


Voyager Campers Who Have Finished
Grades 7-8
$175 per week

Each week the Voyager Camp will offer a variety of activities for young adults who have completed grades seven and eight. These activities aim to provide physical and mental enrichment for the campers. Your camper will enjoy the companionship of Lutheran High’s superior camp staff.

As senior members of Summer Camp for Kids, they will participate in nine “special” field trips which may include traveling a distance from the Springfield area. This fee is included in the weekly charge. (A listing of these individual trips and costs are on the registration sheet.)  Youth may choose just to participate in the once-a-week trips. They will be charged the listed fee.
