Mrs. Hennig was born and raised in Lockwood, Missouri, where she attended Lutheran Elementary School and Lockwood High School. She graduated from Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska, with a Lutheran secondary education degree in biology and mathematics, and a coaching endorsement. Mrs. Hennig has taught and coached at Lutheran High Schools in Detroit, MI; St. Charles, MO; and Edwardsville, IL.

She joined Springfield Lutheran High School in 2006 and is also the Assistant Coach of the girls volleyball team and track coach. Her husband, Rev. Jim Hennig, is the Senior Pastor at Concordia Lutheran Church in Springfield and they have 3 daughters, Jessica, Angela and Michelle and 1 son, Joshua; all of which have graduated from Lutheran High School. She enjoys being active, running, the outdoors, music, crafts, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.

While Mrs. Hennig has many favorite Bible verses, by God’s Spirit she endeavors to follow the words of Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
